My uncle has a very big problem with drugs. He was a good Mormon boy, he went on his mission and was even engaged. Then one day that changed. His friend introduced him to meth, and he couldnšt get away from it. He had to move in with my grandma and he lived in her basement. He would steal from her so he could go out and get the drug. He did end up in jail because he got pulled over for speeding and there was meth, cocaine and weed in his car. There is one incident that I will never forget. I remember going into my grandmotheršs house and you could smell him cooking it from the basement. If he didnšt have the drug in him, he was so rude to you, and you couldn't stand to be around him! My little brother looked up to him and thought he was the world until he yelled at my little brother. We were all scared to be near him. He would leave and go to Utah to stay with friends. The only reason he would ever come back to Idaho was to get money from my grandma. My grandparents are broke. We havenšt heard from my uncle in over 2 years. I have seen what meth does to people. While I was over in Nampa living with my aunt and uncle, I went and volunteered for the Idaho meth project. I was able to tell my story about my uncle and was able to change a lot of people's minds about doing the drug.
